One Example of What He Has Done

doctor1I have many testimonies of what God has done for me. However, I will try to concentrate on just this one….

In 2006, I was having my annual check-up and my blood tests came back abnormal. My liver levels were elevated, AST (aspartate aminotransferase) and ALT (alanine aminotransferase). When AST levels are elevated, it can signify a health problem such as, hepatitis, cirrhosis and cancer of the liver. My OBGYN asked me to do a follow-up visit with my (PCP) Primary Care Physician. Needless to say, I did the standard worrying and made an appointment with my PCP. She drew more blood and I had a scan. Now during this time, I had not yet committed my life to God but knew he still loved me and would heal me of anything. That Sunday, I made my way to Church to get some prayer. Pastor Davis laid hands on me believing with me that God would heal me. When the doctor’s office called that next week with my results, all my levels were back to normal! Thank you, Jesus!

But it doesn’t stop there…when God heals you, you have to hold on to it because the devil will return with his cousins.…and that he did. In January of this year, I again had my annual checkup and this time my blood tests came back with not only my liver levels elevated, but now my kidney levels were out of range. I was saved and baptized in Jesus Holy name in November of 2009 and I wasn’t having this. I’ll admit, I got the call and my heart sank, but then I doctor2perked it on up and said, “Now I really am a child of God and I know I already got prayer and was healed of this and I’m not claiming it!” I got prayer that Sunday to reinforce this and made my way back to my PCP that Monday, per my OBGYN’s instructions. This time I went in with a smile on my face. As I was sitting with the doctor she kept going on and on telling me not to worry and we’d run some more blood test and if worse comes to worse, she could put me on a small dose of meds. Finally, at one point of my appointment with her, she asked me again how I was feeling and I told her I was feeling fine and that I wasn’t at all worried about what was on that paperwork, I had gotten some prayer on Sunday….of course I got a blank stare from her but I know what my God was/is capable of and she could sit there an chat on and on and look at me crazy all she wanted. I got the follow-up call a few days later and the nurse said, “Ms. Davis, everything looks normal.” I said, “Thank you”…hung up the phone and raised my hand and yelled, “I’m fine!”

God is awesome and phenomenal! He has been so good to me and this is just one example of what he’s done. I thank him everyday for being him and loving me for who I am.
