Is Your Fire Burning?

By Mark Flippo

I had burned wood for about 7 hours on a Friday, constantly adding old wood in an effort to clean up our property.

It was almost a week later and we had a couple of storms came burning leavesthrough drenching us. Seeing the pile of ash I decided to go out and rake it down. In the process of doing that there were about three pieces still hot. So pushing them together and adding some dried out wood, it started another fire for which burning took place another day.

God burns off what is not needed, so that the core of you, is still there. When your trial is over God will rake away the dust and reveal the hot glowing embers of you to start again. Dust represents the natural human thoughts and ways. They must be gotten rid of, then you can start a controlled fire of the Holy Ghost.

By the time you have matured and your hair may have turned white. The intense heat that you carry is more than you had in your younger days.

It is more focused and can finish the work to which you have been called to do.

Let Jesus have control and mature in Him.
