Forgiveness: Medicine for the Soul

Unforgiveness is an enemy that cankers the soul. It eats away our ability to think clearly. It’s hard without the help of the Holy Spirit to forgive someone who caused us so much heartbreak and pain. It seems the perpetrator is doing fine, while we lay sleepless at night, headache, nervous, and stressed in the day time.

Don’t try to pay back with vengeance, that belongs to the LORD. GOD knows what is going on. He knows every avenue you’ve taken has come to a dead end. Every outside call you’ve made has only made you madder.

I recently talked to a young lady who was treated badly by her estranged husband. She and her children were made homeless because of his vindictiveness. Near jobless, Penniless, hurt, and wounded she spilled out her heart. She attends church, she believes in GOD but here she was in this terrible position. After you’ve turned to every human resource and still a blank wall. Good News! You are the perfect candidate for Devine help.

II Corinthians 2:14 says “Now thanks be unto GOD which always causes us to triumph in Christ….”

First ask him to forgive you for the feeling of revenge. Next turn your attention completely to him and receive his promise. If you are reading this just know that JESUS is only a breadth away. He is your savior and answer.

His word declares: “Whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved. (Acts 2:21)

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD.” (Romans 3:23)

“The wages of sin is death but the gift of GOD is eternal life through JESUS CHRIST our LORD. (Romans 6:23)
